All of us, students, are experiencing a difficult time right now. Covid-19. Everything went online. Classes now are done in Zoom meetings. Brainstorming is now online. User research is now online.

While the idea of working remotely from anywhere seems normal, adapting to it is no smooth journey. It took some time to adjust to the new ways of communicating. This made us realize that face-to-face conversation does bring a different sensation to the way we operate as humans. Exchanging ideas seems more natural if it is face to face.

While it did require some adjustment, our startup studio team eventually got used to it. We started to embrace the new normal. After all, thinking and talking can be done through any means of communication. It did, however, require commitment to make the most out of the time. But, that’s given in any circumstances.

At least, we now understand how working remotely on a full-time basis feels. The question then: do we want to work this way for the rest of our professional journey?
